Yesterday I had the honour of attending the leaving assembley, you all worked so hard and truely did yourselves, your parents and your school proud. It only seems yesterday that you were 3 year olds in the family center. Nathan will miss his time at Parton Manor and those of you who are moving in a different direction. Good luck to you all and a huge thank you to all the staff!

This site looks amazing - full of so much information, photos etc. - a true representation of the school. Cameron is so happy to be a pupil at the school.

As I was looking for something else, I saw the school site and it brought back many happy memories.

My wife Audrey and I became the first "Official Friends" of the school in recognition of our support.

I was one of the small group who built the pool and, backed by Audrey, I was the founder chairman of the PTA and chair of governors for some years.

We are both well and enjoying retirement back in Derby with relatives and friends of our youth.

We are not surprised that the pool has reached the end of its life. Still, it had a good run for an amateur project.

A school in Derby has successfully fought for over a year to convince the LEA that they should bear the cost of replacing a pool similar to yours. The projected cost is well into seven figures.

Wow i went to Parton Manor in 2000-2001 (i know seems ages away) just for year 3 and 4 because sadly i had to leave. It still looks the same and some of the teachers are still there! Man this was an awesome school, brings along a sense of nostalgia looking at the pics. i'm now 15 in Tewkesbury comp and happy, anyone that was in my class want to get in touch, or any teachers for that matter? (Mrs Richards 3R & Miss Middlemiss [i think was her name]in 4M) mail me or comment back would love to catch up!!!!

Next term we are going to be in year 6!!!!!!.We have Mrs Richards teaching us.We haven't had her before so its going to be really exciting.Its going to be sad in a way because its our last year.We don't want to leave this school because its been great!!!!!

i have really enjoyed the sports day and that wye won, i was suprised to see that so many people took part in the sports day.

lots of people are starting to come on the website.
but what made me so amazed was that we raised £501 for barnardos i thought about how many children we can help so that was cool.
nice to see so many people who used to go to this school are writing to say what a nice time they had at parton.

I love this school because the teachers,especally mr Page,are a bit funny and we learn thousands of new things and some of them we didn't even know before.
They also have a swimming pool,nature area and even a tyre park!They have a HUGE field that when its sunny we actually get to go on it.

On monday year 3's get a go on the tyre park:tuesday year 4's,wednesday year 5's,thursday year 6's and on the last day friday it is the year that couldn't go on it.

There are no plans at present for any school reunion. The school celebrated its 40th birthday in 2007 and there were several events. However, if there were enough people interested, the school could always organise something.
